About the Journal
Global Research Development Journal of Engineering (GRDJE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Global Research Development (GRD), dedicated to publishing original and high-quality research across all disciplines of Engineering and Technology. GRDJE provides researchers, academicians, and industry professionals with a rigorous, ethical platform to disseminate innovative research, emerging technologies, and real-world engineering applications.
Journal History
GRDJE published its inaugural issue in [Insert month/year of Vol. 1, No. 1 — check your Archive page]. Since then, the journal has published on a monthly schedule [confirm this matches your actual cadence — your current issue is labeled "Vol. 4 No. 02 (2026): JULY–SEPTEMBER 2026," which reads as quarterly, not monthly; this mismatch is worth resolving before publishing, as inconsistencies between stated frequency and actual output are a common predatory-journal red flag].
Aims and Scope
GRDJE welcomes original research articles, review papers, technical notes, and case studies in areas including but not limited to:
- Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering
- Computer Science and Information Technology
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Chemical and Materials Engineering
- Industrial and Production Engineering
- Environmental and Energy Engineering
- Emerging and Interdisciplinary Engineering Technologies
Open Access Policy
GRDJE provides immediate, free, and permanent open access to all published content, on the principle that freely available research supports greater global exchange of knowledge.
Copyright Notice
Authors retain copyright of their work and grant GRDJE right of first publication. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), permitting unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
Article Processing Charges (APC) and Waiver Policy
[Insert your actual APC policy here — this is currently missing from your live About page, and its absence is itself a flag reviewers/indexers look for. State plainly whether GRDJE charges submission, review, or publication fees, and if so, the exact amount and currency. If fee-free, say so explicitly rather than leaving it unaddressed.]
Should this policy change in the future, the revised fee schedule and an associated waiver/discount policy for authors from low- and middle-income countries will be published on this page at least six months in advance of taking effect.
Sponsorship and Funding Disclosure
GRDJE is [Insert: self-funded by its publisher / funded by Global Research Development / other — state clearly] and does not receive sponsorship from any commercial entity that could create a conflict of interest with editorial decision-making. Global Research Development (GRD) will disclose any future sponsorship arrangements on this page.
Indexing and Abstracting
| Database / Index | Status |
|---|---|
| Google Scholar | YES |

Every row above needs a live, working hyperlink to your actual listing on that database before this table is published. An unlinked or unverifiable index claim is one of the single most common reasons open-access journals get flagged as predatory — please only list a database here once you can click through to a real, current listing for GRDJE specifically.

Peer Review Policy

- Double-blind review by a minimum of two independent subject-matter reviewers.
- Reviewer reports returned to the handling editor within [Insert weeks].
- Editorial decision: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
- Revised manuscripts re-reviewed as needed before final acceptance.

Plagiarism Policy
All submitted manuscripts are screened using [Insert actual tool name] prior to peer review. Manuscripts with a similarity index above [Insert %] (excluding references, quotations, and standard phrases) are returned to authors for revision or rejected outright. Confirmed cases of plagiarism after publication will result in retraction in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
GRDJE is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the core practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal takes all forms of unethical behavior seriously, including but not limited to plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, redundant/duplicate publication, image manipulation, and improper authorship attribution. Suspected misconduct is investigated in accordance with COPE flowcharts, and corrective action (correction, retraction, or expression of concern) is taken as warranted.
Editorial Ethics and Independence
Editorial decisions are based solely on a manuscript's intellectual merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope, independent of the authors' nationality, institutional affiliation, religious belief, or political views. Editors and reviewers with a conflict of interest in a given manuscript recuse themselves from the review process.
[Note: your live site's "About" page does not currently list an Editorial Board beyond the "Editorial Masthead" link. Journals without a visible, named, verifiable editorial board are frequently flagged — make sure that masthead page lists real names, affiliations, and (ideally) ORCID IDs.]
Privacy and Data Handling Policy
See the full Privacy Statement at https://grdjournals.org/index.php/grd/about/privacy. In summary, GRDJE collects only the personal data necessary to operate the submission, review, and publication process (names, email addresses, affiliations), does not sell or share this data with third parties, and complies with applicable data protection regulations including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area.
Digital Preservation and Archiving
GRDJE is committed to the long-term digital preservation of its published content to ensure permanent access even in the event the journal ceases operation.
LOCKSS/CLOCKSS Statement [choose the one that is actually true, and enable the corresponding plugin in OJS under Settings → Website → Plugins before claiming enrollment]:
- If enrolled: "This journal uses the LOCKSS/CLOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration."
- If not yet enrolled: "GRDJE is in the process of enrolling in a digital preservation network (LOCKSS/CLOCKSS) and will update this statement upon confirmation."
Retraction, Correction, and Expression of Concern Policy
GRDJE follows COPE guidelines on retractions. Published articles may be corrected (for minor errors), retracted (for serious ethical or scientific issues such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate publication), or flagged with an expression of concern (while an issue is under investigation). All such actions are clearly marked on the article's published page and linked to a formal notice explaining the reason.
Complaints and Appeals Procedure
Authors, reviewers, or readers with a complaint about editorial conduct, peer review fairness, or suspected ethical misconduct may submit a written complaint to [Insert real, monitored email address — your Contact page should list one]. Complaints are acknowledged within 5 business days and investigated by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated ethics committee. Authors may appeal a rejection decision once, in writing, with substantive justification, within 30 days of the decision.
