Abstract

The omnichannel support concept, despite rooted in e-commerce and retail, extends beyond service operation design; its relevance is further reinforced at the industry ecosystem level. Stakeholders demand fulfilling interactions—regardless of support request channel—with equal levels of personalisation, empathy, or discretion. Omnichannel support operates seamlessly across communication channels, reflecting a consistent user experience. Data governance issues are magnified within sectors like data centre services, where customers and partners have differing information processing capabilities.

Internally deployed Omnichannel Support Models in data centre operations, an industry segment characterised by network neutrality, facilitate internal incident management, change tracking, and monitoring, toward external transparency and trustworthiness. The omnichannel support concept defines service support operations across delivery and information processing dimensions; it is further concretised for network-neutral data centres. Internal ecosystems delineate support channels and function-specific stakeholders. Service operation design incorporates incident management, change governance, and proactive monitoring, grounded in emerging data ecosystems. Design-for-excellence principles enable user experience consistency across information touchpoints and service execution.
